dropless® 7000

dropless® 7000 is the ta-C DLC coating deposited using Argor-Aljba's patented dropless® technology at a temperature of less than 100 °C with a standard thickness of 0.5 µm. The dropless® 7000 coating has a very high sp3 percentage (typical of natural diamond) of about 85% and a hardness of about 68 GPa (7000 HV). It comes in a rainbow colour.

dropless® 7000 is the first choice among all ta-C DLC coatings when the goal is hardness on micro tools that process non-ferrous materials, carbon fibers and titanium alloys.
Dropless® deposition technology does not alter surface roughness and, under certain conditions, helps to reduce it. dropless® 7000 is mainly suited for:
- cutting tools for turning, milling, drilling operations
- particularly suitable for both carbide and ceramic micro-tools
