Nitrocarbo

Nitrocarbo is a CrN + WC/C coating deposited at a temperature of less than 200 °C with a thickness of between 2 and 5 µm (depending on the customer's requirements). The final DLC layer guarantees a low coefficient of friction and protection against adhesion wear. Nitrocarbo is deposited using PACVD technology and is suitable for coating mechanical components subject to load and frictional wear.

All data given are approximate values, depending on application, environment and test conditions. Coating hardness HIT [GPa] Measured by nano indentation according to ISO 14577. The hardness can be adapted to the application. Coefficient of friction (dry) versus steel determined by dry disc ball test with a steel ball according to ASTM G99. These values may be exceeded during run-in. Maximum service temperature [°C] These are approximate values.

High hardness: protection against frictional wear, longer component life, lower production costs.
High thermal stability up to 300°C
- ideal for components used in injection moulding
- eliminates corrosion problems
- suitable for automotive components and mechanical components subject to frictional wear
- suitable for oil-free bearings
