dialong®-T

dialong®-T is the ta-C DLC coating deposited at a temperature below 100 °C with a standard thickness of 0.5 µm. The dialong®-T coating has a sp3 percentage (typical of natural diamond) of about 75% and a hardness of about 48 GPa (5000 HV). dialong®-T performs well on tools used for machining non-ferrous materials and wood as well as on mechanical components in the food, pump and compressor, packaging and wherever a hard, wear-resistant coating is needed.

Tools with diameters up to 200 mm and lengths up to approx. 500 mm can be coated with dialong®-T

All data given are approximate values, depending on application, environment and test conditions. Coating hardness HIT [GPa] Measured by nano indentation according to ISO 14577. The hardness can be adapted to the application. Coefficient of friction (dry) versus steel determined by dry disc ball test with a steel ball according to ASTM G99. These values may be exceeded during run-in. Maximum service temperature [°C] These are approximate values.

High thermal stability up to 500°C: MQL and dry finish possible.
dialong®-T is a very versatile coating used both on cutting tools for milling, drilling and reaming operations on non-ferrous materials and non-hardwood as well as on mechanical components in various industries.
The main advantages are:
- versatility of use
- high hardness
- wear resistance
- perfect for automatic machine components
